The TASBO Performance Excellence Program (TASBO PEP) is an annual award that recognizes performance excellence in the Texas public school system. TASBO applauds the hard work of Edgewood ISD (San Antonio) recipient of the 2013 TASBO PEP Achievement Level I Award.
The TASBO PEP award program is modeled on the 2011-2012 Education Criteria for Performance Excellence of the Baldrige National Quality Program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD. The TASBO PEP award program primarily differs from the national award in that it also recognizes: (1.) Individual departments or offices in public school systems; (2.) Relative progress in achieving performance excellence; and (3.) An unlimited number of recipients in each size and level category.

Application forms
Achievement I Level application - This level is for school districts that have made a demonstrated commitment to the use of continuous improvement principles and are at initial phases of applying the criteria for performance excellence. This level may be appropriate for most school districts that are in the first two years of applying the criteria. The application also includes the Intent to Apply Form for this level.

Achievement II Level and above application - These levels are for school districts that have demonstrated a significant commitment and significant progress in the application of continuous improvement processes for achieving improvement results. The application also includes the Intent to Apply Form for these levels.
