The Texas Education Agency recently released FAQ Version VI for the ARRA State Fiscal Stabilization Fund. Recent updates to the FAQ document communicate significant new interpretations from the Texas Education Agency and the U.S. Department of Education, including much welcome relief from administrative paperwork in relation to salaries for most school employees that are funded in whole or part from the State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (Special Revenue Fund Code 266).  

TASBO has become aware in recent days that many school officials have NOT followed the release of new versions of the FAQs for ARRA Stabilization Funds.  This is a real concern for various reasons.  TASBO will continue to post notices on the TASBO home page as new versions of the FAQ are released. 

Word on the street is that version VII is due out in a few days from the TEA.
