The Tax Relief for Pollution Control Property Advisory Committee is meeting Friday, March 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the following location:

The advisory committee is charged with providing input on property tax exemptions for pollution control property, in accordance with provisions in House Bills 3206 and 3544, 81st Legislature. 

School districts are advised to assess how the provisions may potentially impact various areas of financial management, including

• Property tax refunds for current and prior fiscal years;
• Changes in state aid calculations;
• Effective tax rate calculations; and 
• Capacity to meet principal and interest obligations on bonded indebtedness.
