The House Ways & Means Committee will meet on April 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in room JHR 140 of the John H Reagan Building to "examine the state's major tax exemptions to determine how the current costs and benefits compare with the original legislative objectives."  The meeting will cover a wide range of property tax exemption areas, including pollution control property which will be of interest to school officials that are following the ongoing developments involving the Tax Relief for Pollution Control Property Advisory Committee to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
