TEA Releases the 2010 Accountability Ratings PDF Print E-mail

Today, the Texas Education Agency released the 2010 accountability ratings for school districts and charter schools.   Of the 1,237 school districts and charter school districts, 239 of the districts (19.3%) were rated Exemplary and 597 (48.3%) were rated Recognized for 2010.  The ratings showed a significant improvement over 2009 ratings, when 117 districts (9.5%) were rated Exemplary and 464 (37.6%) were rated Recognized.  For the 2010 ratings, Exemplary districts comprised 8.5% of the total student enrollment, while the districts rated Recognized comprised 52.1% of total students enrolled.
