Socorro ISD and Ysleta ISD were finalists for the Broad Prize for Education.  The award is the nation's largest education award honoring school districts that demonstrate the greatest overall performance and improvement in student achievement while reducing achievement gaps among poor and minority students.  Socorro and Ysleta were two of only four districts in the nation that were selected as finalists.
