Senate Bill 1581, filed today by Senator Steve Ogden, proposes to limit target revenue (total state and local revenue) to $8,000 per student in weighted average daily attendance (WADA).  This proposed amendment to Section 42.2516, Additional State Aid For Tax Reduction, would significantly reduce, in some instances, revenues available for instructional and operational activities in certain school districts.
