President Obama signed a repeal of the proposed IRS Form 1099 regulation that would have significantly expanded the types of transactions covered by Form 1099 reporting requirements that apply to governments and businesses, including for example reporting purchases that exceeded $600 of supplies and materials from local businesses.  The repeal eliminates what would have been a costly administrative burden on school districts.
