School districts need to submit tax information through the online FSP system to the Texas Education Agency Office of School Finance. The deadline is August 12, 2011, and the TEA notice stated that if school districts do not take action to provide this information, your school district's state funding could be adversely affected. The TEA notice is copied below.
"To the Administrator Addressed:
Please do not reply to this message. This is a broadcast email sent to all Foundation School Program (FSP) State Funding Listserv users. Charters schools, please disregard this message.
Please be certain that your district has completed the Tax Information Survey using the online FSP System, accessed through the Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEASE), by August 12, 2011. If you do not take action regarding this message, your district's state funding could be adversely affected.
Completing the survey is especially important if the tax collections reflected in the legislative payment estimate (LPE) column of the Summary of Finances (SOF) for the 2010–2011 school year are not accurate. If your district does not submit accurate, updated tax collections data, your district’s near-final settle-up for 2010–2011 will not accurately reflect your district’s FSP earnings for that year.
If you have questions about the survey, please contact Al Johnson, State Funding consultant, by phone at (512) 463-9260 or by email at
