Houston Independent School District received the Award for Excellence in Financial Management from the Council of the Great City Schools.  The award honors Houston ISD for adhering to the highest standards in financial management, accountability and fiscal control.  Houston ISD shares this distinction with only one other school district in the nation.  TASBO applauds Houston ISD for its meritorious performance in financial management.
