Voters have approved 467 amendments to the Texas Constitution since its adoption in 1876.  Ten proposed amendments will be submitted to the voters on General Election Day on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.  The House Research Organization recently published a report providing an overview on each of the proposed amendments.  One proposed amendment serves to modify the total asset base used to calculate the annual distribution from the Permanent School Fund (PSF) to the Available School Fund (ASF) for public education purposes, including instructional materials and classroom technology.
