Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Susan Combs will be awarding Texas Cool Schools Grants to help school districts replace old, inefficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The grant benefits school districts' efforts to lower their utility costs by purchasing new and more energy-efficient HVAC systems. Grants will be awarded in amounts ranging from $100,000 to $2 million. Key dates are shown below.
