The Texas Education Agency released an amended Request for Maximum Class Size Exception for school year 2011-2012.  The amended form contains an additional check box for Financial Hardship to the list of reasons a waiver is being requested.  The waiver is to be submitted no later than October 3, 2011, to the State Waiver Unit at the Texas Education Agency (TEA).  The TEA guidelines posted on the TEA web page for this waiver state, "In determining whether an exception is necessary, please note that class size limits do not apply to physical education classes or fine arts classes."
