Yesterday, the Texas Education Agency announced the availability of a waiver request (for school districts that meet TEA criteria) that will provide additional time to develop and implement high-quality teacher and principal evaluation systems for transformation schools participating in School Improvement Grants.  Prior to submitting a waiver to the U.S. Department of Education, the TEA is required to provide notice to all school districts and a reasonable opportunity to comment on the request.  To access additional information regarding the proposed waiver request and required assurances posted on the TEA website under TTIPS News and Announcements, click on the link below.
