12/13/11

This week, the Texas Education Agency released details regarding the anticipated requirements for the 2010-2011 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Title XIV State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (SFSF) Evaluation Report.  TEA's purpose in providing this information is to help school district and open-enrollment charter school officials understand what data may be required by the US Department of Education.  In the announcement, the TEA is advising public school officials to be prepared to report descriptive details for all final expenditures, including amendments, for both the 2009-2010 and the 2010-2011 grants (separately). The TEA also advised school officials to organize as much of this information as possible prior to the holiday period, just in case the deadline falls as early as mid-January 2012.  The TEA will provide more information as soon as it is available from US Department of Education. The information anticipated to be requested is as follows:

  • Descriptions of all final LEA expenses under the 2009–2010 SFSF grant application, including any amendments, made from February 17, 2009, through September 30, 2011
  • Descriptions of all final LEA expenses under the 2010–2011 SFSF grant application, including any amendments, made from September 1, 2009, through September 30, 2011
