According to news sources, Valero Energy Corp. will not appeal the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's (TCEQ) rejection of its request for taxable property exemptions for hydrotreater equipment.  Valero had until Tuesday of this week to appeal the TCEQ's rejection of requests that Valero first made in 2007.  School districts and other governments were concerned that the requests could have caused the refund of tens of millions of dollars in property taxes already collected and spent.
