Last week, the Texas Education Agency announced that funding adjustments are still being processed by the U.S. Department of Education for certain federal grant projects. The TEA announcement also states, "It is vitally important that the LEA not begin or submit any amendment to the NCLB consolidated application or Perkins application in the eGrants system while these adjustments are being processed."
The adjustments to the NCLB and Perkins applications are expected to be completed by the end of January 2012 and LEAs will receive revised Notice of Grant Award transmittal letters and NOGAs by email. After receipt of the email notifications, LEAs may submit amendment(s) to their grant budget(s) if the LEA chooses to amend their grant project budget(s).
School districts will follow the traditional method for amending the IDEA grant application to incorporate the maximum entitlement.
The affected federal projects and the adjustments are described in the table below that was excerpted from the TEA announcement.
