Over 1,120 Districts Deferring 15 Percent Grading Policy PDF Print E-mail

According to the Texas Education Agency, a total of 1,121 requests by school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to defer implementation of end-of-course examination scores as part of course grades had been submitted as of Friday, April 27, 2012.  School districts and open-enrollment charter schools must provide this notification no later than May 1, 2012.  

The superintendent or other district-level administrator authorized by the superintendent is to notify the TEA of the local decision to defer implementation of the 15 percent requirement for the 2011-2012 school year by sending a brief email to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
