 Management Review Brochure
TASBO has been organizing management reviews for school districts for almost twenty years. During that period of time TASBO staff members have been requested to help school districts improve the efficiency of their transportation systems, custodial operations, business office, tax office, child nutrition programs, information management systems, and an assortment of other areas. In addition, we have assisted districts in improving the quality of theirPEIMS submissions; helped improve compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act; reviewed and developed procedures for handling a variety of tasks and programs; suggested changes in master schedules to balance class loads; reviewed construction projects; examined energy usage; suggested staffing guidelines; monitored compliance withfederal program requirements; and so much more.
These reviews have identified millions of dollars in savings for school districts throughout the State of Texas, in addition to improving efficiency. The review teams are composed of TASBO staff members and experts from school districts throughout the State of Texas. After the reviews are completed we often discover that the individuals whoserved on the review teams and the employees of the school district continue to help one another. This has helped create a network of people who share ideas for improvement which often helps other school districts as well.
Could a management review improve your operations or help reduce your budget? Noassurances can be made, but we are not aware of a single management review that did not identify enough cost savings to cover the cost of the review, often identifying savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
