Provides an in-depth study of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Topics include minimum wage requirements, overtime and compensatory time pay, child labor regulations, exempt and non-exempt status, and recordkeeping requirements. Class activities will provide students an opportunity to learn how to apply the FLSA regulations in their school districts.

A test will be given for those taking the course for TASBO certification credit. The course also provides continuing education credit for TASBO certification, CPAs, school board members, charter school administrators, STEM participants and certified educators. CEU Hours – 6 / CPE Hours – 7.
