Board Candidates

Byron Bryant has served as Chief Financial Officer for Royse City ISD since 2018. With previous experience as Executive Director of Finance at Allen ISD and Director of Budget & Accounting at Rockwall ISD, Byron brings a wealth of knowledge in financial management. Byron's governance experience includes serving on the TASBO Board of Directors and various policy and legislative committees. Through Byron’s dedicated efforts, his district received TASBO’s Excellence in Financial Management Award.

Brandon Cardwell is the Director of Capital Improvement and Facilities Planning at Hutto ISD, where he has been since 2023. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Construction and Student Support at Pflugerville ISD and has held various positions in facilities management since 2005. An active leader in school operations, he has served as an officer in the Texas Energy Managers Association and has been a presenter and instructor for TASBO. In 2022, he was named a TASBO RISE recipient.

Daniel West has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Amarillo ISD since 2021, following his tenure in the same role at Dumas ISD. With a background as an Auditor, he is actively involved in the Panhandle ASBO affiliate, previously serving as Vice-President and currently as President. Daniel received the TASBO RISE Award in 2023 and has contributed as an instructor and judge in various TASBO initiatives, underlining his commitment to financial management in education.

Derek Gillard is the Executive Director of Business Services for Pasadena ISD, with a career spanning over 17 years in various administrative roles. He has served on the TASBO Board and held leadership positions in several committees, including the Purchasing Research Committee. Derek shares his knowledge as an instructor and facilitator for TASBO certification courses. Under his leadership, his districts have earned the Award of Merit and Award of Excellence.

Jeremy Trimble is the Chief Operations Officer at Leander ISD beginning this school year. His career includes key leadership roles, including Assistant Superintendent of Operations at Eanes ISD. He is actively engaged with TASBO, serving as a Director and Committee Co-Chair. Recognized with the TASBO RISE Award in 2021, Jeremy is passionate about mentoring and facilitating educational sessions, contributing significantly to the development of school operations professionals.

Lori Vechione has been the Director of Purchasing at Keller ISD since 2007, following her role as Senior Buyer. She currently serves on the TASBO Board of Directors and previously as President of the NTPSM affiliate. Lori’s purchasing teams have received the Award of Merit since 2010. She plays a key role in TASBO’s professional development through her teaching and conference presentations. She has taught four difference certification courses.

Tammi Haden is the Director of Finance at Pineywoods Community Academy, appointed in December 2023 after serving as Business Manager at both Brookeland ISD and Pineywoods Community Academy. Her involvement in various committees showcases her commitment to school finance. Tammi is a certified trainer and coach in leadership development. She's also a participant in the TASBO Emerging Leaders Program.
