ASBO International has named Ohio ASBO's James M. Rowan as its new Executive Director.

The ASBO International Board of Directors is pleased to announce that James M. Rowan, CAE, SFO, has been selected as the association’s new executive director. He will join the headquarters team on January 2, 2024.
Jim brings to the position an extensive background in association management and membership development, public relations, legislative affairs, and strategic communications. For the past seven years, he has served as the executive director for the Ohio Association of School Business Officials. He is also a past president of ASBO International and has been active on a variety of association committees.
Prior to his position with Ohio ASBO, Jim served as a school business official in Talawanda, Fairfield City, Princeton City, and Fairbanks Local school districts, as well as the fiscal officer for Oxford Township and CEO/administrator of Colerain Township in Ohio.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he also was an assistant auditor for the State of Ohio and director of school programs for the Hylant Group. Jim is a past recipient of the Eagle Award and holds SFO and CAE credentials.
