Lance Rainey, Chief Financial Officer at Brock ISD ISD, was one of 13 recipients of the 2024 RISE Award.

We are thrilled to announce that Lance Rainey, Chief Financial Officer at Brock ISD, has been recognized as one of the 13 exceptional recipients of the 2024 RISE Award by TASBO. This accolade celebrates Lance's outstanding contributions during his early years of school business, distinguishing him as a future leader in the profession.

Lance's career in education began as a teacher, coach, and principal, experiences that have given him a well-rounded perspective on school administration. His transition to the role of CFO has been marked by dedication and excellence, and he actively contributes to the professional community as a presenter for TASBO.

Reflecting on his journey, Lance states, "Winning the RISE Award means so much to me. To be a part of the group that's received this award...is one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences in my short career in education."

  • A current Active TASBO member for no more than 7 years as of August 31st
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and achievements in his/her role and the potential to lead the future of school business
  • Displays a desire to advance his/her career with continued engagement in TASBO
  • Has not won the award previously
