So you want to listen to podcasts?
Last year, TASBO introduced its new podcast, “TASBOcast”. It features conversations about members, hot topics, and association updates. They usually last 20-30 minutes and are listened to by hundreds of people each month. Typically, we’ll post a link to these audio recordings on our website, but they’re also available on native podcast directories like Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
What is a podcast?
A podcast is an episodic series of spoken word digital audio files that a user can download to a personal device for easy listening. Typically, they’re like radio talk shows, but can assume different formats.
Where can I find podcasts?
Podcasts can be linked from a website, but can also be downloaded from a directory, typically associated with mobile apps. This is helpful when you’re listening hands-free while driving or during a workout. Popular directories/app includes:
- Apple Podcasts
- Spotify
- Google Podcasts
- Amazon Music
- Stitcher
- Pandora
Directories will help you manage your podcasts you’ve listened to or want to listen to in the future. They can also notify you when new episodes become available.
Education Podcasts?
In addition to TASBOcast, there are a variety of podcasts available that focus on issues relevant to Texas Educators:

- Region 13 ESC
