Good-Bye Weekly Roundup and TASBO Report. Hello TASBO Weekly Report.

Friday, August 30 will mark the final Weekly Roundup newsletter. We are creating an updated newsletter, which we plan to release in mid-to-late September.

Friday, August 30 will mark the final Weekly Roundup newsletter we’ll send to TASBO members as part of a partnership with The Texas Tribune. We are creating an updated newsletter, which we plan to release in mid-to-late September.

Our upcoming newsletter, aptly named TASBO Weekly Report, will continue to feature TASBO blog content, podcasts, Texas news, and national news focused on K-12 education. It will also curate news based on your reading preferences. Utilizing smart technology, the more you click, the more customized to your interests.

School Business Communications
We are looking forward to developing the Weekly Report as part of your member benefits. This is part of our effort to keep you informed on the latest news relevant to your job. In addition to this newsletter, we offer member access to the TASBO Connect Open Forum, School Finance updates, and monthly member and educational newsletters – TASBO Link, TASBO Online, and TASBO Certification.

Thank You, TASBO Report
We also want to officially say goodbye to our online magazine TASBO Report. When I was hired as Director of Communications in 2008, this monthly publication occupied about 50% of my time and was the primary way members learned of upcoming events. As times have changed, we have transformed how we keep you informed.

After reviewing our editorial plan, we found that members overwhelmingly read our newsletters and blogs compared to our magazine. We decided to focus on enhancing our content, rather than designing a magazine for weeks at a time. The last publication was in February, which highlighted the Engage Conference.

Other Thank You’s
I am deeply grateful for my Marketing & Communications team, led by Chief Communications Officer Rose Grandon and Director of Marketing Justin Ables. They are innovative and dedicated to bringing relevant content to you.

We are also thankful for the Texas Tribune and the role they play in covering Texas news. We will continue to follow them and encourage you to subscribe to their newsletters here.

And finally, we at TASBO are grateful to members like you, who volunteer your time by providing educational content and testimonials. Every day, we are witness to how enthusiastic you are about school business and operations.

Again, we appreciate your support. We are looking forward to another great school year!
