Leadership Changes and the Critical Role of Data
School districts have always faced regular changes in leadership, but the past several years have accelerated the rate of turnover and change. New leaders can and must position themselves to be successful in their new districts, in part through leveraging the power of data. As educators and informers, CFOs have a wealth of information available to them to understand their district and its history, how it compares, and what the future may hold. Knowing what the message must be and how to communicate and present the story to stakeholders is made easier through the use of data and analytics. In time, having a data and analytics strategy to educate others will help CFOs become the expert their districts expect and need.
