How did you get your start in school business?
I started as a CFO for the local school district where I live.
What do you like best about your job and where you work?
I enjoy having the ability to support our staff and students in making the best collaborative financial decisions.
Why do you recommend TASBO to your colleagues? What programs and services do you find helpful?
TASBO is a wealth of information and knowledge for various school business fields. It helps connect members by sharing best practice information like no other professional program I have known. The school finance and operational programs have been the most useful for me.
What is your favorite TASBO training to attend and why?
I enjoy the annual TASBO Engage Conference because there are various breakout and certification sessions to attend.
What was your childhood dream job?
It has always been working with any type of numbers.

I enjoy watching movies for extended lengths of time (one after another) and watching my children participate in competitive sports.
What's one thing you're excited about/looking forward to in the future?
I am looking forward to obtaining my doctorate within the next year in Educational Leadership.

I am working on my certification and hope to complete it soon. Besides being an honor to achieve the professional certification, the wealth of knowledge I gained has been appreciated. Additionally, I liked that I was able to learn on my schedule.
