TASBO Reaches All-Time High in Certifications Awarded

Cert

A record 440 people received their TASBO Certification in the 2018-19 school year.

This past school year, TASBO awarded 440 school business professionals with one of its three certifications: RTSBA, CTSBO, or CTSBS. This eclipsed the previous high of 393 people back in 2016-17. Approximately a third of its members are certified through TASBO.

Districts understand that a TASBO certification means you’re educated in school business and dedicated to your profession. The certification program was developed by practitioners after evaluating the core competencies of managing the finances and operations in school districts.

Lisa Krabbenhoft, Director of Certification, and Linda Dufault, Credentialing Specialist, deserve a lot of the credit for developing the program and guiding participants through the process of earning and maintaining their credentials.

“Being TASBO certified demonstrates that I have the knowledge necessary to perform my job, the ability to reach out for resources that I need, and an appreciation for all aspects of school business.”
