We are excited to announce that Kyle Johnson, Assistant Superintendent of Finance/Operations at Westwood ISD, has been recognized as one of the 13 exceptional recipients of the 2024 RISE Award by TASBO. This prestigious accolade celebrates Kyle's remarkable contributions within his early years at TASBO, distinguishing him as a future leader in the profession.
Kyle's journey in school finance and operations has been marked by his dedication to excellence and continuous professional growth. As a graduate of the Emerging Leaders program, Kyle has demonstrated his commitment to developing his leadership skills and making a significant impact in the field. His leadership extends beyond his district, serving as the Vice-President of the East Texas TASBO Affiliate and being an active member of the TASBO Leadership Cohort.
Reflecting on his achievements, Kyle shared, "Winning this award to me means that as a district as a whole, Westwood ISD is doing great work and that we are providing our kids with opportunities that they may not otherwise have. I want to thank my whole business office. This is a team award. There's no way that this is just an award for me."
