Well-run school districts are pivotal in maximizing resources for more than 5.4 million school children in Texas. TASBO recognizes this challenge and offers individual and organizational honors through programs like Commitment to Excellence and Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations. We also provide a scholarship program to retain school business officials in the profession by assisting recipients in their pursuit of advanced degrees.

Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations

The Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations recognizes the achievements of educational organizations in implementing best practices in the area of purchasing. The honorees demonstrate professional purchasing operations and share their best practices in policies and procedures with colleagues throughout the state.

Award of Excellence for Financial Management

This award recognizes Texas school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, and education service centers that have implemented professional standards, best practices and innovations in financial reporting. Recipients will be honored at the Annual Conference. We appreciate our Strategic Partner, Forecast5 Analytics, for sponsoring this award program.
