Advance Your Education
Named after TASBO's first full-time executive director, the Dr. Ed L. West Scholarship Program is administered by the TASBO Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation. Since 2008, TASBO affiliates and individuals have donated close to $200,000 in support of the scholarship program.
The Purpose of the Scholarship Program
To enhance the skills of school business officials by encouraging them to seek continued education and training with the explicit intent to remain in the profession of school business and operations.

Want to Submit an Auxiliary Scholarship Nomination?
This scholarship is open to operations staff working for a K-12 public education entity in Texas. Simply send a letter of recommendation to Alyssa Reed (areed@tasbo.org). Non-members should secure a letter from a supervisor who is a TASBO member.
Scholarship Categories
The TASBO Foundation will award up to four scholarships each year: two associate's/auxiliary scholarships, one undergraduate scholarship, and one graduate scholarship.
Type of Scholarship | Length | Annual Amount |
> Associate Degree / Auxiliary Program Awarded to members (or staff of members) pursuing advanced skills training in the area of technology, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other areas of licensure as determined by the Board. | 2 years | $1,000 |
> Undergraduate Awarded to members pursuing a degree related to school finance or operations. | 4 years | $2,000 |
> Graduate Awarded to members pursuing a Master's or Doctorate degree related to school finance, operations, or leadership. | 2 years | $2,000 |
