Maintain Your Certification

Once you are certified, your TASBO certification is valid for three (3) years. To renew your certification, you must complete 60 clock hours of continuing education every three (3) years. Half (30 hours) of these CE hours must be earned by attending in-person or online TASBO events, participating in OnDemand Learning, or going to TASBO Regional Affiliate events. Any business or operations training, whether in person or distance learning, counts as long as it is offered by an approved provider.

To submit your CE hours, login to your Profile on the TASBO website, click on the MY CE tab, and scroll to the bottom of the page to the Submit Your CE Hours section. You will need to enter the date, hours, title and provider of the training, and may optionally add the instructor or upload a certificate of attendance.

Submit continuing education hours from events hosted by TASBO Approved Providers. You do not need to enter hours from TASBO events; those will automatically post to your transcript.

Continuing education hours must focus on school business and operations topics, such as best practices, legislative and regulatory topics. Product training is not eligible for continuing education credit. Attendance of 50 minutes minimum is required for each one hour of credit. Once your continuing education credit hours are approved by TASBO, they will show on your CEC transcript.
