AISD is ramping up its curbside service to safely register and deliver to families.
Beginning with new student registration, Austin ISD will over curbside assistance to serve families. Uses will be for things like parent dropping off lunch for a student, bringing homework in order to ease the burden on families having to vacate the car to enter the facility.
Earlier this week, all 130 campuses began these services. Staff will utilize trunk delivery and pick-up, in addition to using baskets to pass documents between families and staff. A proprietary software system will facilitate communication, that enables families to communicate when they arrive to the campus.
